First printing of the photoplay edition. Photoplay edition with scenes from the Universal film directed by James Whale and featuring Boris Karloff as Frankenstein's monster. Previous owner's bookplate affixed to front free end paper, along with neat owner's signature. Lower corners slightly bumped, a little age darkening to spine, a very good copy in a good dust jacket, rubbing to folds, loss to spine fold, chipping to corners, small chip to lower front panel, front and spine panel cleanly split.
