Carrie's journal was written during the LeConte family's five week visit to Yosemite Valley and the Calaveras big trees in the summer of 1878. From the original "field" notes she rewrote the journal, making corrections and additions, and incorporating over sixty pen and ink drawings in the text. The published text follows the revised journal completed in 1880. BCC #117. A fine copy in very good or better unprinted green dust jacket with some wear at edges, small chip from lower spine end, and tanned spine panel. (#165951).
