This is the book that tells of the Carson and Colorado Railroad, at one time extending from Mound House, southwest of Dayton, Nevada, and running southwest to skirt the eastern side of Walker Lake, past Mina, Belleville -- with a spur to Candeleria, finally dropping south into California near Benton and extending past Laws (near Bishop), and on to Owenyo and Keeler.
