Anthology of poems, sketches and short stories, most quite short, all by authors who are quite obscure today and were probably amateur writers at the time. Includes a one-page "Editorial Note" giving a short sketch of the history of South African fiction. A dozen or so of the stories have either substantial or marginal supernatural content. All the material deals with South African settings and shows considerable knowledge of and sympathy with the locale. Rear board a little bowed, else very good in good pictorial dust jacket with a v-chip from front panel removing the "V" in the title, several old internal tape mends, and water-staining to rear panel.
