First U.S. edition. Romantic adventure novel set during the Napoleonic wars in Spain; involves press gangs and smugglers, among other things. The author also wrote children's and historical fiction, as well as stories with Indian settings. Number 21 in the "Unknown Library." No copy of a UK edition is recorded by COPAC. OCLC records two copies of this Cassell edition. Copies of these "Unknown" and "Pseudonym" Library titles are getting harder to find. Not in Wolff. Cloth just a bit dusty, a near fine copy.
