(#114252) LOW RUN TIDE AND LAVA ROCK. Elliot Paul.

LOW RUN TIDE AND LAVA ROCK. New York: Horace Liveright, Inc., 1929. Octavo, original decorated blue-gray cloth. First edition. Two short novels, the first set in a seaport town in Maine, the second in a construction camp in a remote canyon in the American West where workers are building a great dam. Paul was part of the American expatriate community in Paris between the wars, and coeditor of TRANSITION, one of the modernist movement's most important little magazines. A very good copy in good, but still attractive decorated dust jacket which is dusty, worn at edges, and chipped at top edges of spine and rear panels. (#114252).
