The first book to be illustrated by William A. Dwiggins, an important twentieth-century American typographer and book designer. Agner 02.01. 1910 Christmas gift inscription in bold hand on pages [6] and 7 (a blank page and the first page of text), some rubbing to cloth at edges, partial hairline crack along inner front hinge, ghosting to pages 208-209 from laid in newspaper clipping, text block just a bit shaken, a good copy. An uncommon book seldom found in nice condition. (#129291).
