THE DAY IT RAINED FOREVER. London: Rupert Hart-Davis, 1959. Octavo, blue boards, spine panel stamped in silver. First edition, presumed first binding. Brief signed inscription by Bradbury to "Frank" on the front free endpaper. Collects stories from A MEDICINE FOR MELANCHOLY with the following changes: deletes four stories, "A Medicine for Melancholy," "The First Night of Lent," "All Summer in a Day," and "The Great Collision of Monday Last" and adds "Referent," "Almost the End of the World," "Here There Be Tygers," "Perchance to Dream," and "And the Rock Cried Out." A fine copy in very good or better dust jacket with light wear at edges, two short closed tears, and some general dust soiling. Still an attractive copy of an uncommon book. (#138770).
