Greene, original non-bevel-edged blue pictorial cloth, front and spine panels stamped in black, white and gold, decorated endpapers with floral pattern printed in orange. Later edition. Boys' polar adventure novel in which survivors of a shipwreck in the Antarctic establish a colony called Lastfoundland and claim the land for the British Empire. The hero marries one of the passengers, an Argentine woman, who is proclaimed queen of the land by the colonists. A hint of rubbing at spine ends and corner tips, several small ink stains to rear cover, else a bright, nearly fine copy. A very attractive copy of a handsome book. (#147132).
