FAMOUS CURSES. London: Skeffington & Son, Ltd., 1929. Large octavo, pp. [1-6] 7 [8-10] 11- 286 [287-288] [note: first and last leaves are blanks], twelve inserted plates with woodcut illustrations by Vere Campbell, original blue cloth, front panel ruled in blind, spine panel stamped in gold. First edition. One of the author's very popular series of apparently true accounts of occult phenomena -- curses, in this case. The histories are often told in the form of stories, with dialogue, etc. The illustrations in the present volume are superb. Wilson, p. 391. Some insect tracking to cloth, a tight, square very good copy in very good pictorial dust jacket with minor wear along top and bottom edges, several closed tears along top edge, and a small chip from the left corner of the lower spine end. A very nice copy overall. (#147454).
