The 1928 silent thriller Spies (Spione), a UFA production, was directed by Fritz Lang, his first film after Metropolis. An under appreciated film production which was adapted by his wife from her story. The film starred Willy Fritsch and Gerda Maurus. Text block age-darkened as usual, front free end paper has a small chip and tear, rear pastedown has an inch-long repaired tear at top edge near inner hinge, else a nearly fine copy in nearly fine four-color wraparound pictorial dust jacket with illustrations based on film stills, with very light rubbing along part of the rear spine fold and front flap fold and a minute chip at the head of the spine panel.
