I AM LEGION. Neil Bell, which was apparently a. pen name for Stephen H. Critten Stephen Southwold.

I AM LEGION. London: Eyre and Spottiswoode, [1950]. Octavo, pp. [1-2] [1-8] 9-380 [381-382: blank] [note: first and last leaves are blanks], original black cloth, spine panel stamped in silver. First edition. Ruyle calls this a "strange novel of hypnotism, spiritualism, psychotherapy; chapter on healing, precognition, etc." Possibly has similarities to THE DISTURBING AFFAIR OF NOEL BLAKE (1932). Not in Bleiler (1948; 1978), Reginald (1979; 1992) or Day (1963). A fine copy in fine dust jacket (designed by Lowen). A lovely copy. (#148050).
