Issued as "Harper's Franklin Square Library New Series," number 685. Adventure novel concerning the discovery of lost treasure and the crown of the legendary king of the snakes in Western Ireland. "A tale written around the strange phenomenon of a moving bog. Scene: the Mayo coast, which is finely described. Hidden treasure, prophetic dreams, attempted murder, and much love and sentiment are bound up with the story." - Brown, Ireland in Fiction 1551. Dalby 5b. Tiny shallow chips from spine ends (no loss to lettering or rules), light foxing to spine panel and around the edges of front cover, faint crease at upper right cover of front cover, a very good copy. An excellent copy of this fragile and very elusive book. (#149951).
