Octavo, three volumes, first volume bound in cloth, others in boards. First editions, first printings, bindings, and dust jackets where required. The first three volumes of the Foundation series, awarded a special Hugo in 1966 for best all-time series. Anatomy of Wonder (2004) II-46. Survey of Science Fiction Literature II, pp. 819-31. A nearly fine to fine set in bright, very good dust jackets. FOUNDATION has very mild bumps to lower corner tips and two tiny scuffs to cloth on rear cover, but is otherwise a fine copy in very good dust jacket with light wear at spine ends and corner tips. FOUNDATION AND EMPIRE has some light patchy tanning to paste-downs, but is otherwise fine in very good dust jacket with light wear at lower spine end and corner tips, wear with shallow loss at upper spine end, and light dust soiling to rear panel. SECOND FOUNDATION has just a hint of rubbing to boards at spine ends, but is otherwise a fine copy in nearly fine dust jacket with light wear at spine ends and corner tips and just a touch of dust soiling to rear panel. The jackets are bright and all present well externally. An attractive set overall. (#150732).
