First edition in English. Thirteen short stories about World War I, written in the manner of a memoir. Several of the stories, including "The Chameleon" and "The Man With the X-Ray Eyes," have fantastic elements. A fine copy in a defective pictorial dust jacket with light wear along top and bottom edges and about seven-eighths of the spine panel missing. The jacket is rarely found in any condition.
