This pamphlet, compiled by William E. Colby and Edward T. Parsons, appealed for funds to fight the proposed Hetch Hetchy project and urged interested individuals and organizations to write senators, representatives, and other federal officials. Page [1] prints an open letter from Muir "to the American public" dated "November, 1909." Pages 14-17 reprint Muir's "The Endangered Valley ..." which appeared earlier in Let All the People Speak and Prevent the Destruction of the Yosemite Park .... Includes excerpts from newspaper and magazine articles critical of the project, statements against the reservoir by former Interior secretaries Hitchcock and Noble, and illustrations of threatened valley.
