A romantic melodrama with dastardly doings and murder in eastern Georgia during Reconstruction after the American Civil War that features a strong female protagonist who survives being tossed about by a tornado, among other happenings. The book was offered in paper for 50¢ or cloth for $1.25. Not in Wright. Corner tips a bit rubbed, a couple of tiny white (paint?) flecks to rear cover, pulpy paper a bit tanned, a very good, bright copy. (#151647).
