(#153643) [Sequoia gigantea] Three albumen photographs of settlers in a southern Sierra Nevada grove of big trees. E. M. DAVIDSON.

[Sequoia gigantea] Three albumen photographs of settlers in a southern Sierra Nevada grove of big trees. Visalia, Cal. E. M. Davidson, Photo, n.d. [circa 1890]. Three images, each approximately 22 x 26.5 cm (8 3/4 x 10 1/2 inches), on original card mounts. Probably lumbermen and their families on a holiday outing. This is a southern California grove of big trees, probably Converse Basin. All the photographs have the photographer's imprint on the mount: "E. M. Davidson, Photo Visalia, Cal." Some wear to mounts which are tied with pink ribbon. Professionally framed in a shadow box. A poignant memento. (#153643).
