Expense account written in pencil on the back of a 10x12 inch manilla envelope addressed to R. H. Barlow in the hand of Clark Ashton Smith with his signature and return address written at the upper left corner, postmarked 12 February 1934. On the back side of the envelope Lovecraft has written a partial record of his travel expenses while sightseeing in Florida after his stay with Barlow in De Land, from 2 May until 21 June, 1934, or during his twelve-day return trip from Florida to Providence, Rhode Island. Lovecraft apparently used the envelope marked "check lists," to carry papers back to Providence. Used, but entirely intact. (#155681).
