(#156478) THE INSECT WARRIORS. Rex Dean Levie.

THE INSECT WARRIORS. New York: Ace Books, Inc., [1965]. Small octavo, pictorial wrappers. First edition. Ace Books F334. Biologically modified humans struggle for survival in an environment where they are dwarfed by the insects that dominate their wilderness world. They seek to learn who they are, where they came from, and why they are where they are. They are an experiment, but the experimenters appear to have suddenly perished while it was in progress. Similar in some aspects to Farmer's Riverworld sequence. This appears to be Levie's only book. Rex Dean Levie, born in Salt Lake City in 1938, was a longtime resident of Southern California. He died in Arcadia, CA in 2013. Reginald 08976. Several tiny nicks and rubs to front cover, a bright, very good, unread copy. (#156478).
