A presentation copy with signed inscription by Cox dated 22 February 1965 on the front paste-down. A collection of four stories by American socialite and writer Marian Cox (1882-1972) author of well-received fiction and nonfiction, mostly published 1910-1914; "Spangled Blood -- A Novelette," "Conscience," "The Undying Dead -- A Tale of Modern Egypt" and "A Honeymoon Christmas," all but the last being Gothic horror stories. A very good copy in good dust jacket with wear, small chips and short tears along top and bottom edges and dust soiling to rear panel. Copies of this book signed by Cox are uncommon. (#159451).
