One of two translations by Reid of novels by the French adventure novelist, Louis Eugene Gabriel Ferry de Bellemare, a.k.a. Gabriel Ferry (1809-1852), who like Reid, spent almost a decade in the American west and Mexico. Sadleir 2034. Wolff 5763.
