(#161599) CRACK OF WHIPS: TALES. Manhood.

CRACK OF WHIPS: TALES. London: Jonathan Cape, [1934]. Octavo, original salmon cloth, front and spine panels stamped in black, publisher's device stamped in black on rear panel, bottom edge untrimmed. First edition. Collects fifteen short stories. The author's third collection. Manhood specialized in short stories and was published by some of the top literary houses in England (Jonathan Cape, Grayson and Grayson, the White Owl Press and William Heinemann) but seems to have slipped through the cracks since then as far as critical notice is concerned. Publisher's review slip laid in. Light foxing early and late, a nearly fine copy in very good printed dust jacket priced 7/6 with wear and shallow loss at spine ends and along top edge of front panel and some general dust soiling. Scarce. (#161599).

Price: $100.00
