Pages [7]-71 comprise a guide to Yosemite Valley and the Calaveras, Mariposa, and "southern" giant sequoia groves. Describes northern routes to the valley with rates for hotels, livery, and guides. Several of the advertisements promote businesses associated with the Yosemite travel industry. Currey and Kruska 5. Ex-library (The Free Library of Philadelphia. Map Division) with their bookplate affixed to the front paste-down, several perforated library marks, including one to title leaf, and other indications of library ownership. Top and bottom of the spine missing, boards worn and rubbed, front free endpaper and first five leaves detached, a good copy. Printed on pulp paper and bound in cardboard. A rather poor specimen of a very fragile production. Only a few copies of this early guidebook have survived. (#162205).
