CITY ON THE MOON. Murray Leinster, William Fitzgerald Jenkins.

CITY ON THE MOON. New York: Avalon Books, [1957]. Octavo, cloth. First edition. A presentation copy with a warm inscription by Jenkins, signed as Jenkins and as "Murray Leinster," dated 6 October 1957, to "Dear Mr. Stevens," a person we have not been able to identify, but probably a fellow writer. Multinational Civilian City exists to service and supply the Space Laboratory, a space station conducting dangerous nuclear research to solve Earth's energy problem placed forty thousand miles out from the far side of the Moon. Acts of sabotage indicate that someone who does not want Earth to flourish as a garden or to make further progress exploring space intends to terminate the project. A fine copy in nearly fine dust jacket with a touch of rubbing at lower spine end and upper front corner tip and tiny nick at lower rear flap fold. (#162438).

Price: $250.00
