Peeples (1917-1997) was a very successful Hollywood script writer whose TV credits included scripts for Star Trek, Wanted Dead or Alive, Bonanza, Overland Trail, and many other western series. In the 1960s he created TV series The Tall Man, Custer, and Lancer. Influential collection of short fiction about robots with first postulation of the "Three Laws of Robotics," a concept used for plots in numerous tales by other writers in subsequent years.
