First edition. Considerable patriotic content, songs, poems, chronology of the American Civil War and events leading to the conflict, 1860-1862. Includes poems by James Russell Lowell, John Greenleaf Whittier, and others. Coolidge's almanac was published for the years 1862 through 1871. Professionally re-cased, small ink stain on top edge of a few leaves, a very good copy. OCLC reports 4 copies. Another copy, apparently missing several pages, is held by AAS. Scarce. (#162764).
