(#162813) TECHNOCRACY REVIEW. February 1933 . Hugo Gernsback, and publisher, number 1 volume 1.

Mount Morris, Illinois: Techni-Craft Publishing Corporation, February 1933 (volume 1, number 1). Small bedsheet, single issue, illustrated with photographs and drawings, pictorial wrappers, stapled. Illustrated articles, including "Technocracy -- Hero or Villain?" by David Lasser, "The Machine and the Depression" by Hugo Gernsback, "A Socialist Looks at Technocracy" by Paul Blanshard, "Technocracy and Communism" by W. Z. Foster and Earl Browder, and "Technocracy and the Unemployed" by Edward Levinson. The first of two issues of this short-lived publication offering news and opinion from a variety of points of view about the rise of "technocracy," a theme that was probably a bit too ahead of its time for commercial success but, in hindsight, obviously prescient. Covers dusty, a very good copy. (#162813).
