THE ISHKOL CAPTAIN OR HOW THE DEATH HOUSE KINGDOM MADE WAR AGAINST THE PINK EPIDEMIC. N.p. Mayfly Edition, 1971. Small folio, pp. [1-12] [1] 2-107 [108], illustrations by Francesca Moss, map by Richard Sykes, pictorial stiff card wrappers, spiral plastic spine. First edition. A presentation copy with full-page inscription by Klein to Donald A. Wollheim. The inscription, dated 1 March 1972, states that this is one of 281 revised copies and there are a number of cancels throughout the text. It is doubtful more than several copies of this book were produced. OCLC records only the Library of Congress copy. This is the only copy we have seen. Cover dusty, internally fine. The illustrations -- and the text -- are bizarre. Be the first on your block to own a copy. This may well be one of the strangest American fantasy books every published -- if it was published. (#162865).
