Translation by Antje Hering from the Danish of a utopian Burroughs-type interplanetary novel set on Venus. An inventor builds a spaceship, the Urania, and travels to Venus, where he discovers a prehistoric world with saurians and humans. Lovely illustrations and cover art; the four-color frontispiece is worthy of comparison to the work of J. Allen St. John. "The deeply conservative, pro-Nazi, and highly prolific Danish (author) wrote science fictional adventures for children in the 1920s and 1930s under numerous pseudonyms (Anderson, pp. 2-3).
