Manchester: Manchester Astronautical Association, 20 March 1939 (volume 3, number 3). Quarto, single sheet, mimeographed on one side only. Sixteen-year-old Eric Burgess (1920-2005) and a small group of rocketry enthusiasts established the Manchester Interplanetary Society in June 1936. Then he and Trevor Cusack founded the Manchester Astronautical Association in 1937. This is the first of a projected new series of MAA monthly bulletins "to inform members of the latest events in the astronautical world." The Bulletin notes that work on the new Journal is steadily progressing and "this will be issued at a much earlier date than was at first anticipated." Old mailing folds, else a fine copy. Rare.
