WISCONSIN. August Derleth.

WISCONSIN. New York: Coward-McCann, Inc., [1967]. Octavo, pp. [1-5] 6-126 [127-128], illustrations, endpaper maps, pictorial cloth. First edition. Inscribed by Derleth on the front free endpaper: "A bird's eye view of Wisconsin / August Derleth." Part of the "States of the Nation" series, aimed primarily at the young adult market. Revised in 1972. Wilson 591. Notes on the rear free endpaper and page 119 by Ernest Osterfund, a Wisconsin state employee who "worked under" seventeen Wisconsin governors from the teens through the 1960s. Scattered marginalia and corrections in the text by Osterfund. Cloth rubbed, a very good copy in worn, torn, chipped and price-clipped dust jacket. Actually, a better than average copy of this book. Nice copies are very hard to find. (#164375).
