Jules Verne, DAKKAR. No date. 1968?, Ron Miller, Number 1.

Columbus, Ohio: Ron Miller, n.d. [1968?]. Tall octavo, single issue, pictorial wrappers, stapled. All published? A journal devoted to the life and work of Jules Verne and "any and all aspects of science fiction history (up to the publication of the first all-science fiction magazines)." This appears to be the first work published by Ron Miller (b. 1947), a prolific, highly acclaimed American writer and illustrator who specializes in astronomical, astronautical and science fiction books for adults and young adults. This journal, partly written and illustrated by Miller was apparently produced by him while a student at the College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio, where he earned his BFA degree. A fine copy. OCLC reports 2 copies, The British Library and Bibliothèque nationale de France; none in America. Rare. (#164533).
