[Yosemite National Park] Album of photographs recording a vacation in Yosemite National Park in 1902. Album with 24 captioned photographs on 12 leaves, each image, approximately 9.4x6.9 cm (3 3/4x2 3/4 inches), housed in a protective sleeve. Blue cloth album of British origin, measuring approximately 13x16 cm (5 1/4x6 3/8 inches), with "Kodak" on the front cover and "Kodak, Limited, / 43 Clerkenwell Road, London. E. C. / ..." stamped on the inside front cover. The album is titled "A / Memento / of / August 1902" in ink on the inside front cover. The party traveled to Yosemite Valley by way of Madera (a town between Merced and Fresno in the Central Valley of California), Fish Camp and Wawona. In addition to views along the route to Yosemite Valley and points of interest in the Valley, there are pictures taken from Glacier Point and one picture of the Grizzly Giant. Members of the party appear in many of the pictures, several taken in camp; the last view is a photograph of a house in England. Light wear to album edges; some images are faded, all are very good or better. (#165082).
