[California] A large collection of amateur photographs of vacations with family and friends in various locales in northern and southern California, including 53 pictures taken in Yosemite National Park. 196 gelatin silver prints, average size 11x9 cm (4 1/4x3 1/4 inches), mounted on black paper stock, many captioned in silver ink. Flexible black cloth album, 18.2x26 cm (7 3/16x10 1/8 inches), with "Photographs" stamped in gold on the front cover. A large collection of amateur photographs of vacations with family and friends in various locales in northern and southern California, many captioned with place and date. 53 of the photographs record a 1913 trip to Yosemite National Park , including pictures of the Sentinel Hotel, Camp Curry, Glacier Point by way of Vernal and Nevada Falls and points of interest on the south rim of the Valley. Also present are images of the San Francisco Bay Area, Long Beach, and other California locations. The dated photographs span the years 1908 through 1914, the majority dated from 1912 to 1913. A few of the photographs have fading or yellowing, but all are very good or better. (#165083).
