[Yosemite National Park] An album of photographs recording a vacation in Yosemite National Park, circa 1915 or later. 34 silver gelatin photographs 7x11.5 cm (2 3/4x4 1/2 inches) mounted on black paper pages, captioned in silver ink. Album measures 14x20.2 cm (5 1/2x8 inches), green wrappers, front cover embossed with a design featuring an acorn with a camera inside and a squirrel perched on the top. A collection of amateur photographs taken in Yosemite National Park after motor stages replaced horse-drawn stages in 1915. In addition to photographing points of interest in the Valley, the party hiked to Glacier Point and to Clouds Rest by way of Vernal and Nevada Falls. Several photographs show members of the party. The final image in the album is of a Native American woman, and is captioned, "Mary -- a Yosemite character." Some mild soiling to album covers; some images faded or a bit tarnished, but mostly very good. (#165085).
