Eight illustrations, four of which are in color. Promotional leaflet for California Fig Syrup, a laxative, probably issued around or after 1897. Printer's imprint reads: "Photo Colortype Co., Chi." The Chicago Colortype Company, a three-color photoengraving plant began operations around 1895. Cover title reads: "Syrup of Figs Nature's Pleasant Laxative Manufactured by California Fig Syrup Co. ..." Includes a color lithograph view of Yosemite Falls. The text of this leaflet for the patent medicine company founded in Reno, Nevada, in 1878, mentions that it "was organized more than twelve years ago." A nearly fine copy. (#165983).
