[Yosemite Valley] Vacation trip to Yosemite Valley before 1910 [supplied title]. 82 gelatin silver prints of Yosemite Valley and vicinity, plus 17 photographs taken elsewhere. Most of the images measure 5.5x8 cm (2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches), a few are larger. The party traveled by horse-drawn stage from Raymond to Yosemite Valley and stayed at Camp Curry. Most of the images are landscape photographs, but pictures of Raymond, Camp Curry, LeConte Lodge, Yosemite's old village, Sentinel Hotel, Glacier Hotel, Wawona Hotel and stage travel are included, as well as a picture of Galen Clark. In addition to various locales in the Valley, the party visited Glacier Point and South Dome and the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. About a third of the photographs are neatly captioned in white ink. The album, black paper wrappers with "Photographs" in white on front cover, measures 17.8x25.5 cm (7x10 inches). A bit of tarnish to some of the images, but very good or better overall; mild wear and scuffing to the album's paper covers. (#166014).
