WAGENER, A. C. [Yosemite Valley] Snapshots on our Yosemite trip, 1902. A. C. Wagener, San Francisco [Album title]. 69 photographs, most measuring approximately 8.8x8.8 cm (3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches), some a bit larger. Roughly half are captioned on the mounts in white ink. The large party from San Francisco traveled by train to Raymond and to the Yosemite Valley by horse-drawn stage. During their stopover in Wawona they visited the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. In the Valley they stayed at Camp Yosemite which had opened the previous season. In addition viewing various points of interest in the Valley, they visited Clouds Rest by way of Vernal and Nevada Falls and then moved on to Glacier Point and Sentinel Dome. They left Glacier Point by stage to return to San Francisco by way Raymond. Flexible black cloth album measures 17.3x25.4 cm (6 3/4 x 9 3/4 inches). Some tarnish to some of the photographs, a few are creased at edges, overall very good or better; the album is a bit rubbed at edges. (#166015).
