White's books: THE MOUNTAINS (1904), THE PASS (1906), THE CABIN (1911), are full of the spirit of the High Sierra and should certainly be on the list" of books on the Sierra back country to be included in a well-chosen library. Hint of tanning to spine panel, tiny spot on front panel, a clean, tight, very good -- or better copy. Provenance: Dr. Herbert Evans collection. (#166123).
