About half of the other paintings are California mountain scenes, including those in Southern California, the Coast Range, Lake Tahoe and vicinity and Northern California, including the Trinity Alps and Mount Shasta. This edition of the book and its map were printed in Scotland. The book was reprinted by Houghton Mifflin Company in 1927 as The Land of the Sun: a Book About California. Cowan (1933), p. 23.
