Manager is C. A. Washburn. Promotes the new annex and the nine-hole golf course which is "in fine playing condition for the opening of its third season, May 10th." Map is "Map of All Automobile Roads to Wawona ..." In 1911 Clarence Washburn "at the age of twenty-five ... became assistant manager of the Wawona Hotel, and, after his father's death in 1917, manager. Under his direction, two hotel buildings, a golf course, airport, and swimming pool were added for the enjoyment of guests ..." At the end of the 1934 season, Washburn cut all his Yosemite ties and moved to Indio where he ran the Hotel Potter for decades (Sargent, Yosemite and Its Innkeepers, p. 113). A fine copy. (#166496).
