The story is prefaced by a six-page general description of the valley and many references to valley features occur throughout the text. One of Popham's seven "romances" set in various popular American tourist destinations: Mammoth Cave, Niagara Falls, Garden of the Gods, Natural Bridge, Yosemite Valley, Yellowstone Park and the Washington Monument. Several small, light damp stains on rear cover, a bright, very good copy overall. Provenance: "J. Wesley Miller" rubber-stamped on the bottom edge of the text block and on the copyright page.
