This collection of papers and articles, largely on Pacific Coast geology and natural history, dedicated to John Muir, and published on the occasion of the P.P.I.E., includes "Mountaineering on the Pacific Coast," by Joseph N. LeConte, pages 246-251, which has descriptions of Yosemite and the High Sierra to the south. "Scenic Excursions" by A. O. Leuschner includes Yosemite National Park and gives a seven-day suggested itinerary for excursions in the Valley, along its rim, and to the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees, pages 287-288. A fine copy.
