A biographical sketch of John Muir comprises pages 360-[365]. Schmeckebier's "Guide to the National Parks" comprises pages [423-520]. One of the double-page maps is "Travel-Guide Map of the Yosemite National Park California After Topographic Sheet of Administrative Map of Yosemite National Park by U.S. Geological Survey." Bookplate of George Dickson Clark, Jr. affixed to the front paste-down. Cloth lightly worn at spine ends and some rubbing to cloth along front joint, gold lettering on spine panel tarnished, faint tide mark at upper top and fore-edge margins of about half of the text block, but still a very good copy.
