Revised edition. "California State Series" at head of title. This school textbook was first published in San Francisco in 1912 by Whitaker & Ray-Wiggin Co. as The Geography of California. Several reprints and revised editions were published between 1916 and 1929. The revised edition, now retitled California, was intended to give the child "a conception of his own state" and "afford a foundation for an intelligent study of the world at large."
