The 220,000-acre Minarets Wilderness was renamed Ansel Adams Wilderness in 1984 to honor the famous American photographer and environmentalist. The large map on verso is titled "Ansel Adams Wilderness / Inyo and Sierra National Forests / California / Mt Diablo Meridian / 1987 / Scale 1:63360 / Contour interval 80 feet;" at head of title "U.S. Department of Agriculture / Forest Service / F.
