The governor addresses State management of Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove on pages 51-54: controversy and legal action by the State regarding the appointment of a new board of Yosemite Commissioners and the refusal of the old board to resign and turn over their records, and making improvements in the park, including abolishing tolls on the park's roads and trails, and requesting an appropriation for a survey by the State Engineer to lay out "a system of avenues, drives, roadways ..." in Yosemite Valley. Wrappers just a bit spotted and soiled, a nearly fine copy. (#166792).
