(#166795) Yosemite Valley[.] Views around Camp Curry copyrighted by Camp Curry Studios [cover title]. Sierra Nevada, Yosemite.

Yosemite Valley[.] Views around Camp Curry copyrighted by Camp Curry Studios [cover title]. Yosemite, California: Camp Curry Studios, n.d. [circa 1920s]. 8.5 x 14.5 cm, 27 photographic prints, pictorial paper wrappers with photograph on front cover and another on rear cover, ribbon tied. First edition. Commercial prints, each titled in the negative, probably made by Arthur C. Pillsbury. Perhaps first produced as early as 1915. The earliest example seen includes a picture of the Camp Curry entrance with the caption "Where the stentor calls and the fire falls." Camp Curry cofounder David A. Curry died 30 April 1917. The other version, issued before 1926 with a slightly different group of photographs, has a similar photograph of the camp's entrance with the caption removed. Prints curled as usual, a very good copy. OCLC reports one copy (California State Library). (#166795).
