Sir Arthur Pendarves Vivian KCB FRGS FGS (1834-1926) was a British industrialist and Liberal politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1868 to 1885. He was a frequent traveler and a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. In 1879 he published Wanderings in the Western Land, describing his transcontinental sporting trip through North America which began 14 August 1877 in St Johns, Newfoundland.
